To Kill a Mockingbird

Tennessee Repertory Theatre, 1997
Directed by Don Jones

Tennessee Rep operates in the Polk Theatre - a very large house with a stage
almost 50 feet across and approximately a thousand seats.
The director requested a realistic evocation of the Alabama neighborhood
of the action of the play and the script demanded a rapid segue between the three scenes.
The houses stage right and left were mounted on revolves. The SR revolve had three segments --
neighborhood, jail, and courtroom. The SL one had only two - for the jail scene it rotated partway
to give a different look to the house
